Zaigle, a renowned cookware company, alleged that Lightron’s products infringed on their patents and utility models, leading to an import ban by the Customs and Trade Commission. AIP, representing Lightron and others, filed a lawsuit to the Seoul Central District Court to confirm the non-existence of the right to claim for injunction of patent rights, AIP won the case, with the Court ruling that there was no patent infringement, and subsequently prevailed in the appeal at the Patent Court. An administrative lawsuit challenging the Customs and Trade Commission's decision is also currently pending before the Seoul Administrative Court, with the decision anticipated in December 2023. It is expected that the decision of the Customs and Trade Commission will be revoked.
